Chaga, by definition, is a mushroom in the family Hymenochaetaceae. It is found on birch and other trees. The sterile conk is irregularly formed and has the appearance of burnt charcoal. The health benefits range from stress relief to cancer fighting. The instant satisfaction found in the earthy aroma of a Chaga tea is something one must experience for themselves. Who We Are
As a young family living in Northern Ontario, we enjoy spending time outside with our son, Kohen. At first this venture began as anything but. It was a way for all of us to spend time together on “adventures” as Kohen calls them, in the forest.
In 2016, on our own piece of heaven north of Sault Ste. Marie, we quickly discovered that our property and the surrounding Crown Land were filled with white and yellow birch trees, and a plentiful amount of Chaga.
While we are constantly looking for ways to improve our health, and improve upon our son’s health, Chaga has been a lovely addition to our daily routines. We would like to share the plentiful benefits that Chaga can offer with you.
Our mission is to share our passion through providing accessibility to the benefits of Chaga for all of our potential customers.
Chaga North strives to be accessible, approachable and relatable. We would like to allow everyone the accessibility to our product and the benefits that come with it. We intend to do so through the sustainable harvesting of Chaga in our own "back yard".
